LTD (MAHAGENCO) to standardise business processes and optimise energy and natural resource efficiency in order to improve profitability and deliver better energy for the citizens of Maharashtra. The project will be implemented by L&T InfoTech and is scheduled to go live by December 2011.
|D-Mart implements SAP NetWeaver PI to automate vendor payment.Avenue Super Marts Pvt Ltd., (ASPL) owns and operates hypermarkets and supermarkets by the store name D-Mart. It has been effectively using IT and applications to drive growth combined with efficient supply chain system and efficient payment mechanism.
With over 35 stores and huge suppliers of merchandise items, ASPL wanted to reduce the cycle time of purchase order, goods receipt payment and ensure faster stock turnover associated with better working capital management. ASPL wanted to avoid all payments through cheques and use electronic channels such as RTGS and NEFT for vendor payment settlement.
Solution: SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP PI).Project implementation: The initial phase of the deployment was to enable the existing SAP ERP as part of its transactional platform to have an interface with the several banks in real time basis. ASPL identified three banks including Kotak Bank, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank for initial integration purpose and mapped its entire business processes for data and document exchange to port on a common solution on SAP Process Integration.

The “big bang” implementation deadlines? Nine months. Indeed, each implementation – all
started a few months apart – was completed on time. SAP R/3 went live in April 2001 and SAP
APO in May 2001. These initiatives laid the groundwork for other major developments, including
technology-supported partnerships with major distributors. With vendor-managed inventory
(VMI) and the online exchange of distributor sales and other information, Marico expected
additional improvements in forecasting accuracy and inventory levels at both Marico and the

The implementation project commenced on 1st November 2004
and went live on 1st April 2005.
This phase of SAP implementation covered the General Ledger,
HR and Payrolls, and the Resource raising operations.
The areas which were kept outside SAP were Refinance, Project
Finance and Treasury Operations. These areas maintained the
details of the transactions internally and submitted vouchers to
SAP at the GL level. The movement of data between SAP and
these systems were manual. more
